Denigration of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha by showing them as a cartoon!

mahendrapanditShri. Mahendra Pandit, an artist from Kalyan, Maharashtra drew this caricature, which was printed by more than 3 daily newspapers. Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha and a mouse are depicted here. Lord Ganesha’s eyes focus on His nose and He looks confused. Lord Shiva seems unhappy and showers water of the Ganges on Ganesha’s head. The mouse says to Lord Ganesha, ‘Do not worry… It is Gulal …It will disappear after some time.’ This scene is a take-off on mal-practices during festivals.

The artist is (dis)credited with many such caricatures. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) contacted him for his response, but he abused them. HJS has filed a case against the artist.
