Mumbai: An advertisement was published about a website of ‘Times Group’ based on ‘Dating Theme’ in daily English newspaper ‘Times of India’ in its issue dated 16th May 2007. In this Ad, there was denigration of Lord Krishna revered and worshiped by all Hindus. Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, the Mumbai Pradesh coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had lodged a complaint at Azad Maidan police station on 18th May.
Shri. Padmakar Devare, Police sub-inspector registered a charge against the editor and other officials of Times of India under article 295 A and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The above mentioned ‘Dating theme’ will not only bring about mental derangement in society but it has also hurt feelings of Hindus by using Lord Krishna for such indecent purpose. HJS has strongly condemned such denigration. Information in this regard has also been published on the website of HJS and thousands of people all over the world have been registering their protests against the Ad, claimed Shri. Shivaji Vatkar in his testimony when he was called at the police station with witnesses.
(Congratulation Shri. Vatkar for lodging complaint against TOI for denigrating Lord Krishna! – Editor)
