Denigration of Lord Ganesha by showing in human form

Painter Arun Kalvankar had drawn this painting shown on the left which depicts Lord Ganesha in a human form. It is uncertain whether he wanted to glorify or denigrate Lord Ganesha when he drew the painting or was it just some random musing? Whatever may be the reason behind it, it is spiritually incorrect and thus insult of Lord Ganesha.
