Derogatory poster of Goddess Durga withdrawn

durga_whisky   A poster of Goddess Durga with whisky bottles in her hands was displayed at the Balon Oriental Disco Bar in the Athens, Greece.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti took prompt action and conveyed the wrath of Hindus to the Greece government. As a result the objectionable poster was removed and seized.

HJS received an e-mail from Indian Embassy at Athens which is as follows.

Dear Dr. Solanki,

Kindly refer to your fax dated February 16, 2006 on the subject mentioned above. We would like to inform you that the poster has since been removed from the Bar following protests from the Indian community.
