Navi Mumbai: If the Government is not taking over mosques, durgahs and madarassas belonging to Muslims because they come under Wakf Board; Hindus should also establish a Board or Corporation for all Hindu temples. The above suggestion was made by Swami Sree Kamalankshadas of ISCON (Hare Rama Hare Krushna) Foundation.

Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the State spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, Mumbai District Coordinator of HJS, Shri. Ramesh Sunil, Navi Mumbai Coordinator of HJS and Shri. Rajan Bhurke, Convener called on Swami Sree Kamalankshadas at Bhagavat Dham, Parasik Hill, CBD, Navi Mumbai and explained to him about various activities of HJS. They also informed him about the two anti-Hindu Acts proposed by the State Government against Superstition and Taking over temples.

Swamiji narrated his experiences during his stay in England. He said that there, the Government gives financial aid for construction of temples. Whereas, it is shocking to note that here, in our own country, the Govt. is planning to take over all temples. It is a matter of shame that the anti-Hindu Govt. needs to learn from their foreign counterparts about how to respect Hindu Dharma. He said that the only solution is all Hindus should come together; form a corporation of all 4.5 lakh temples and make all trustees, priests, devotees and devout as its members. It can be managed by a retired Judge, retired governor, eminent persons, retired bureaucrats and senior saints and religious leaders. When small temples need money for its repairs, it will be provided by big trusts and temples. Such transparency should be maintained in its activities. He also advised that no person in any way associated with corruption should be appointed on the Board.

He said that through the medium of this Board, we can remove the black covering set on Hindu Dharma and prayed that the Hindu Dharma will continue to glow. Swamiji was impressed with the activities of HJS and promised to extend support in all its activities. He also said that he would inform Shri. Shyamaprasad Das from ISCON Foundation for increase in participation of their seekers in HJS activities. Shri. Sampat Shetty of RSS was also present on the occasion.
