Prevention of attacks on Dharma is spiritual practice!

Solapur: A pamphlet has been published on behalf of ‘Geeta Parivar’ signed by Swami Govindadevagiri (earlier known as Acharya Kishorji Vyas) wherein it is stated that while taking care of our individual religious beliefs and faith, to prevent and fight attacks on Dharma is an important part of spiritual practice. Therefore, it is the duty of every Hindu to stop Government from passing the two anti-Hindu Acts on ‘anti-Superstitions’ and ‘Taking over of temples’. The activities undertaken by HJS towards opposing these Acts are therefore, very significant and valuable. Swamiji has also appealed to all Hindus to attend the Dharma-jagruti Sabha scheduled for 24th June at 6.00 p.m. at Hutatma Smruti Mandir and perform their duty.

It is mentioned in the circular that the two Acts viz. ‘anti-Superstition’ and ‘taking over temples’ proposed by the Government is a ploy to interefere with observance of customs and traditions followed in Hindu Dharma. We shall never tolerate such interference in matters related to our Dharma. When there are enough provisions in the existing laws to take care of offences under superstitious practices, where is the need to pass a separate Act? This is an effort to keep people away from following their Dharma. The ‘Temple take-over’ Act, meant aimed at only Hindu religious places, shows partial behaviour of schemimg Government.
