Pune (Maharashtra): Devout Hindus from Sahakarnagar resolved to come together against the anti-Hindu Acts proposed by the State Government for ‘Taking over Temples’ and ‘Anti-Superstitions’. After the Dharma-jagruti sabha held in Pune on 9th June and photo-exhibition of FACT, devout Hindus from Sahakarnagar, Bibwewadi and Dhanakwadi had expressed their wish to come together. Accordingly, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a meeting of all such interested devout Hindus at Sahakarnagar on 26th June. Shri. Sunil Ghanavat explained various activities undertaken by HJS in the said meeting. Shri. Ameya Mohite, later, explained the two Anti-Hindu Acts in detail. About 40 devout Hindus attended the meeting. There was also a demand to start ‘Dharma-satsangs’ by devout Hindus. Accordingly, ‘Dharma-satsang’ classes would be held at Sahakarnagar once in two weeks. First such class will be held on 7th July at 7.00 p.m. in Dashabhuja Ganesh Mandir. Shri. Datar, a devout Hindu suggested to go to Ganeshotsava Mandal Committees for banners. Shri. Rajendra Jagatap from an Organisation called ‘Vande Mataram’ offered to obtain sponsors for the banners. Shri. Khaladkar, the Trustee of the Temple made available the temple premises for holding meeting and sound system. Members of RSS, Vande Mataram, Sanatan Sanstha and HJS attended the meeting.
