Hindus abroad stop denigration of Lord Ganesha

By Staff Reporter

Scarborough (Canada): Rishita and Dewang, Hindus visited a restaurant named ‘Bombay Palace’ in city of Scarborough in Canada and saw an idol of Sree Ganesha in a very weird form. It was a brass idol screwed to the wall. The idol was not properly made as the face and the hands were not matching and it looked more like a puppet with very thin hands and face and a big body. The idol was shown wearing a long skirt. The upper body showed the idol having breast. After some thinking and discussing they approached the lady owner and explained to her the science of spirituality behind the idol and how this causes denigration. She said she had no clue about this as she was Sikh and was glad they told her.

She said she would remove it right away and also asked them to look around the restaurant and see if they could find anymore idols. They saw two idols in all and informed her. She said would immediately remove the same and will put it away carefully in flowing water when she gets a chance.

(Congratulations to Dewang and Rishita for their efforts to stop denigration of Lord Ganesh. Such Hindus are the real strengths of Hindu Dharma. It is also an appreciable act by the restaurant owner to immediately correct the mistake. From this Hindus must realize that mere explanation of the facts of science of spirituality can go a long way in stopping denigration of Hindu deities. For that taking religious education by Hindus is very important. – Editor)
