Different political parties have taken part in the State Assembly elections to be held in Maharashtra. Many people have taken part with seekers of Sanatan Sanstha and activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in their activities related to ‘Hindutva’; which has led to developing closeness with each other. Owing to such closeness, they seek various types of assistance from Sanatan seekers and HJS activists, for canvassing in election.
Sanatan Sanstha is an organization that propagates spirituality; whereas HJS is a voluntary organization engaged in creating awareness amongst people towards matters related to Dharma. These registered organizations cannot undertake any activity with political connotations.
Seekers of Sanatan Sanstha and activists of HJS are busy in organizing ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti sabhas’, exhibitions, lectures etc. for their mission of establishment of Hindu Rashtra. If these programs were not pre-planned; there was no problem in activists joining canvassing at individual level; but the programs are already planned and it will be inconvenient to make any changes in them at this stage, from people’s point of view. Sanatan and HJS will not therefore, be able to take part in political canvassing of pro-Hindu candidates who are contesting election; but ‘Hindutva-waadi’ candidates can rest assured that Sanatan seekers and HJS activists would extend firm support to candidates who regularly participate in pro-Hindu activities.
Sanatan and HJS are grateful to all candidates who feel that Sanatan and HJS can be invited to join their election- campaigning.
