Pune (Maharashtra): “We will not let the “Law for eradication of superstition” be passed in the legislative assembly at any cost as the government is only trying to restrict the Hindus from performing their religious customs by doing so” declared the senior leader of BJP – Shri Gopinath Mundhe today. He said this while addressing a meeting of the party departmental heads held at the Ganesh Krida Sankool. All the MLA’s of the Kokan region and the western Maharastra along with party’s zonal leader, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Central region secretary in charge, Shri. Kaptansinha Solanki and ex-central minister, Shri. Ram Naik were present at this meeting.
After expressing his objection on the reservations offered by the government under the name of Christians and Muslims he further said “The government is trying to pass the ‘Law for eradication of superstition’ and ‘the law – to get the possession of the religious places and temples of the Hindus’. We shall revolt and strongly oppose both these laws and see to it that they cannot be passed in the legislative assembly at any cost”.
After the meeting was over the spokesman of the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti from Pune Shri Sunil Dhanvat meet Shri Mudhe and gave him a statement regarding the anti-faith bill. On which he reassured him by repeating his statement that they will try and by all means see to it that the bill is not passed. Prior to this Shri Dhanvat also meet Shri Nitin Gadkari and gave him a copy of the said statement on which Shri Gadkari said that they had received all the papers regarding these laws and they will be strongly opposing it anyways.
