Pandharpur (Maharashtra): Sree Kshetra Dnyaneshawr Maharaj Sansthan Committee (Alandi Devasthan) and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) have demanded that the Government should impose a ban on Marathi play “Hari Aalaa Daari” as it makes mockery of Hindu deities. The demand was made to Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh, the Chief Minister.
Members of Alandi Devasthan and HJS called on the CM and gave him a representation against the Marathi play. In the representation, controversial dialogues have also been mentioned as example. It is also mentioned that as the Censor Board has not paid any heed to the complaints, the Chief Minister should now take action. The Chief Minister assured that he would look into the matter. In the delegation that called on the CM, Shri. Sudhir Pimpale, Chief Trustee of Alandi Devasthan, Dr. Suri, Shri. Parashuram Patwardhan and Shri. Anand Joshi other trustees and Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, the spokesperson and Shri. Santosh Patane of HJS were present.
