Govt. to withdraw case to release Sree Krishna idol: CM

Jalagon (Mharashtra): The Government has confiscated the idol of Sree Krishna from Saint Dnyaneshwar temple as Swadhyaya Parivar has filed a case under the ‘copyright’ Act. The Government has also filed a case against Prof. S. K. Joshi in this context. Efforts are on to get the idol released from the Government control for the past 3 years. Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh, the Chief Minister recently announced at Pandharpur that the Government was withdrawing the case. He was in Pandharpur to attend the ‘Mahapuja’ of Lord Vitthal. Shri. Tatya Patil, the President of ‘Sree Krishna Murti Mukti Andolan’ called on the CM along with a delegation and submitted a representation demanding release of Sree Krushna idol when the Chief Minister gave the above assurance. As the matter is in the court and final order is yet to be issued by the Court, explained the CM and was not aware of ‘copyright’ case in connection with the idol. 

Members of ‘Sree Krishna Mukti Andolan’ had come from various places like Solapur, Karad, Miraj, Karnataka, Hinchagiri ashram, Jalgaon, Dhule, Pune etc. along with Shri. Ganesh Rana, the chief executive of ‘Sree Krishna Murti Mukti Andolan’, Shri. Hiraman Gawali of Hindu Ekata Andolan, Shri. J K Patil, Shri. Lahu Patil, Shri. Shimpi, Pujya Datta appa Maharaj.
