Chairman of ‘Setu-samudram’ sent on compulsory leave

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Shri. N. K. Raghupati, the Chairman of ‘Setu-samudram’ project was asked to go on two-week leave for making public the email received by him from NASA regarding ‘Adam’s bridge’.
      
It has been mentioned in the e-mail of NASA that the sand columns and rocks joining sea boundaries of Sri Lanka and India near Palk Strait is not man- made but is created due to changes taking place in nature. The ‘Adam’s bridge is known as ‘Ram-setu’. As Shri. Raghupati received this email, he informed media about it. Shri. Raghupati has said that presently, a case is going on in the Supreme Court and the message received by him from Johnson Space Centre was handed over to media.
      
Shri. Raghupati is the Chairman of Tuticorin Port Trust established two years back as also the Chairman of ‘Setu-samudram’ project Corporation. He said that he had taken leave, as the work pressure was too much.
