Interference in Dharma not tolerated: Baratacharya Shevade

By Staff Reporter

Panvel (Maharashtra): The rulers are trying to pass anti-Superstitions and ‘temple Take-over’ Acts on one hand and on the other hand, they go to Pandharpur for performing puja. If such rulers try to interfere in our religious matters, they would not survive. The above warning was given by Bharatacharya Prof. S. G. Shevade. He was addressing a rally taken out by VHP and Bajarang Dal to protest against the above two Acts.

Prof. Shevade said that presently our country is in the hands of plunderers. Devotees’ money is looted by Sree Siddhivinayak temple trust and Sree Shirdi Sansthan already taken over by the Government. The Government, that is unable to manage even its Transport and Postal departments, is planning to take over management of temples. He said that we have the strength to stop assaults on our Dharma and let us pray to the Lord to help us achieve our goal.

Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for the State of Maharashtra said that people should not get carried away by the statement made by the Chief Minister and published in Mahatrashtra Times that the ‘Temple Take-over Act’ would not be passed. The campaign would go on till the Government scrap the 15th Law Commission and its proposal to pass ‘Temple take-over’ Act. We can not believe the Congress CM who promises one thing and does something else. He appealed to all Hindus to come together to fight against the Govt. proposal and prevent temples from becoming Govt. offices.
