HJS guidance for women on the occasion of Navaratri in Alibaug (Maharashtra)

Usar-Alibaug (Maharashtra) : A program of ‘Haldi-kumkum’ was organized by ‘Krantyuvak Sanghatana’ on the occasion of Navaratri. Sou. Arpita Pathak of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) guided on the spiritual practice as per present times. She explained spiritual importance of ‘Navaratri’, importance of ‘haldi-kumkum’, spiritual practice required in present times, increasing oppression of women and solution to these problems.

Practical demonstration on ‘Oti bharane’ (Ritual of offering a s?r?? and/or a blouse piece to a Goddess or to a married lady, a ritual in Maharashtra) was also held. The program received very good response from local residents. About 300 local residents attended the program which was held with special cooperation from Shri. Nilesh Gaikar, the President of ‘Krantiyuvak Sanghatana’.

Highlights :

1. Women did ‘Oti bharane’ (Ritual of offering a s?r?? and/or a blouse piece to a Goddess or to a married lady, a ritual in Maharashtra) program as shown during the practical demonstration.

2. Children, attending self-defence classes in Usar Gaon, presented ‘Shakti-stavan’.

3. Boards displayed at the venue of the program on ‘Dharma-shikshan’ were read by local residents with lot of curiosity.
