Chopda-Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : ‘Puja’ of oil-painting of Prabhu ShriRamchandra and ‘shastra (weapons)’ was performed by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at Shivaji Chowk as per the practice started over the years.
The ‘puja’ was performed by Prof. Prakash Dalal, District Coordinator of Vishwa Hindu Parishada (VHP). Hundreds of citizens gave each other ‘Apata leaves’ and did ‘Seemollanghan (crossing borders)’ on the occasion of ‘Dusshera’. BJP’s former city-President Raju Sharma, Manish Gujarathi, Shiv Sena MLA Kailas Patil, Dy. Taluka-Chief Tukaram Patil, Mahendranagar city-Chief Chandu Paliwal, Girish Paliwal, Dr. Warake, Kiran Patel, Police Inspector Gaidhani, Police Inspector (PI) Yogesh Patil from Adavad, Dy. PI Kailas Wagh, and activists of HJS along with seekers of Sanatan were present on the occasion.
