Sub: Immediate attention and Intervention

Respected Sir,

Christies.com and sothebys.com have displayed some paintings, which are going to be on display, sale and auction on 29-03-2006 and 30-03-2006 at New York. These includes paintings those nude, obscene and vulgar paintings of Hindu deities by the painter from India, M.F Hussain, which have hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus all over the world. We have already written to Christies.com and sothebys.com and requested them to withdraw these paintings . For your reference we are hereby attaching the copy of the same. Kindly refer attachments in the mail.

We hereby invite your immediate attention and intervention in the matter to see that these controversial paintings of M.F Hussain are withdrawn from the sale and the religious sentiments of Hindus are protected.

Looking forwards to your prompt action and reply.

Thanking you,

Yours Sincerely

Dr. Manoj V. Solanki (09326103278),
Spokesperson,
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (India-Goa)
