Pune (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a representation to the District Collector of Pune for prevention of denigration of national Flags. It has been a practice to give national flags made of paper or plastic at the time of flag hoisting; but how to maintain sanctity of the flag is not taught. National Flag is our pride and our identity. But we tend to forget this aspect and the flags hoisted very proudly in the mornings of 26th January and 15th August are found strewn on the roads and in the gutter on the very same evenings trampling our patriotic feelings. HJS has appealed the Government to take appropriate action to avoid such mockery of our flags.
The representation was accepted by Shri. Pandurang Magdum, Dy. District Collector. The delegation comprised of Shri. Rajendra Palave of Shree Shivapratishthan, Shri. Vilas Dixit of Hindu Mahasabha, Shri. Dheeraj Bengrut of HJS, Shri. Sunil Kadhav of Samasta Hindu Aghadi, Shri. Ramesh Gaikwad of Aradhi Jogati Devadasi Sanghatana, Shri. Hemant Borkar of Youth Wing of BJP, Shri. Govind Jadhav of Shiv Sena under the leadership of Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, Pune spokesperson of HJS.
