Pune (Maharashtra): Tiles with pictures of deities were fitted in the office of ‘Race Course’ so as to prevent people from spitting. Activists of BJP – Youth Wing opposed this and lodged a complaint with Wanawadi police station.
In the corners of ‘Race Course’ office, tiles with deities’ pictures were fitted. Members of BJP – Youth Wing observed that people had spitted around the pictures. The enraged members went to the main office and warned them that if the tiles were not removed within 48 hours, they would start agitations. The tiles were, however, removed on the same night. The organization has also given a warning that wherever they find such denigration and misuse of deities, agitations would be started.
