Nasik (Maharashtra): Actor Sunjay Dutt, an accused in Mumbai bomb blasts case recently visited Sai Baba shrine at Shirdi. He was allowed to enter the temple from the gate reserved for VVIPs and was there for 7 minutes. (This is the result of Chief Minister not taking action against Baba Siddiqui, a State Minister for greeting accused Sunjay Dutt with so much of love. – Editor) The Intelligence Bureau has taken a serious note of the visit.
Sunjay Dutt and his close relatives were allowed to enter from the gate on South side known as ‘Governor’s Entrance’ reserved for VVIPs. This was the first time that an accused was allowed to use that entrance. Although IB had given instructions to the administration of temple that Sunjay should not be allowed to enter from the VVIP gate, the administration seems to have overlooked the instructions. (Enquiry should be made as to who was responsible for letting Sunjay from the gate meant for VVIPs. – Editor)
The queue for taking ‘darshan’ in the temple stopped moving and the sanctum became crowded. Sunjay entered waving to the devotees. He took out chocolates from his trousers pocket and threw them at the devotees. They also came forward to pick them up. (People did not mind taking things from an accused responsible for death of our fellow countrymen. Such lifeless compatriots are also traitors. – Editor) He threw the ‘prasad’ of pedhas (sweets) given to him by the priests towards the crowd. (When one does not have any respect for the God’s ‘prasad’, why should be he allowed to even enter the temple? Nobody has the guts to stop such accused doing such things to get public sympathy. Would Sunjay Dutt dare to behave in this manner in a mosque? – Editor)
Whenever a VIP visits the shrine, there is a competition among trustees and officials to welcome such person; but fearing action against them as Sunjay Dutt is an accused; none of the trustees was seen at the temple. (IB should not just show its objection but take action against the concerned to prevent such things in future. – Editor)
