Proud Hindu Protests TOI article on Ram Setu

By Staff Reporter

Pune (Maharashtra): Nityanand Bhadra a proud Hindu from Pune has protested the below article appearing in the Times of India (15-09-2007) against Ram Setu. See below the article and the protest letter. (Congratulations to Nityanand for his prompt protest. If Hindus start protesting promptly then one would think twice before writing against the Hindus. It is only because Hindus are dormant that such things happen.Would the press dare to do such in case of non Hindus. – Editor)

My letter to the editor

The article is highly denigrating and blasphemic. The writer who terms Rama as hyper real should go and ask Nasa who has termed Setu to be built 17500000 years ago.Who built it. You will receive such mails in dozens if you dont apologise for the publishing this article. If Suraiya thinks he has real power of pen, then question the existence of Jesus & Allah and then be ready for the results.Hindus are not fundamentalists and hence all painters, writers and all are denigrating our gods and national icons as per their free will under the name of freedom of expression. Please use this freedom in the case of other religions.

Thanks and Regards,
Nityanand Bhadra
