Why should there be need for such requests in a Hindu majority country ?
Congratulations to pro-Hindu organizations who have come together to stop Christians from deceiving and converting Hindus !
Solapur (Maharashtra) : Prayer meetings have been organized by Christian Society Multipurpose Institute, Solapur between 25th and 28th November 2014 in which a talk will be given by Christian missionary Jayashali P. D. Sundar Rao on the subject ‘Is there a God and why should one believe in Him ?’ Posters have been displayed at various places advertising about these meetings. Local pro-Hindu organizations have submitted a representation to the Police Commissioner demanding cancellation of these meetings. It has been stated in the representation that ‘Hindus’ Deities and Saints are always criticized by missionaries in such meetings; they provoke people and hurt religious sentiments of Hindus. False propaganda about curing ailments like deafness and dumbness is spread; to which gullible Hindus fall prey. Local residents strongly oppose such programs and in fact, advertising for these types of programs is an offence under Drugs & Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act 1954. Organizing such kind of program is also cognizable and non-bailable offence under anti-Superstitions Act, 2013. This program should, therefore, be cancelled and legal notice should be given to the organizers. Details of their programs and drafts of speeches to be given by speakers invited for the program should be called for and verified to see that there is nothing objectionable; besides all information should be given to pro-Hindu organizations’.
Representatives of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), Dharmajagaran Samanvay Vibhag, Solapur and other pro-Hindu organizations viz. Shri. Bapu Dhage, Shri. Sanjay Salunkhe, Shri. Satyanarayan Gurram, Shri. Satish Kunchpor, Shri. Balaji Salunkhe, Shri. Omprakash Chavan, Shri. Babu Mangule, Shri. Ramesh Awar and Shri. Hiralal Tiwari etc. were present on the occasion.
