Nashik (Maharashtra): Ramleela festival is celebrated for the past 50 years so as to make people know about Ramayana and they become ideal citizens. The artists taking part in the Ramleela have acknowledged that Ramleela has helped them to achieve happiness in life and showed them right direction. Interesting point here is that the artists are from different strata of society like some are working on daily wages, some are laboureres, some are engineers and some are highly qualified who take part without any remunerartion.
Shri. Ramesh Johare, retired employee from the Government Mint and director of Ramleela said that there was need for Ramayana in the present times because there is decadence of moral values and righteousness. Shri. Pradip Bhujabal, the General Secretary of Ramleela Committee said that he could achive progress at personal level while taking part in Ramleela and his faith in Rama increased which gave him happiness. Other participants also acknowldeged that their association with Ramleela helped them in today’s stressful life and gave them immense joy which is uncomparable. One participant said that there was need to imbibe qualities of Sree Rama and thoughts expressed in Ramayana have helped him to go on right path in life and achieve expected success.
