Need to oppose anti-Hindu Dharma thoughts – M. G. C. Siddhalinga Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, Panchagrahgudda Hiremath, Nargund

Navalgund (Karnataka) : ‘Under western influences, Hindus are forgetting their supreme Hindu culture. On the other hand, there is conspiracy to defame Saints. Hindus need to oppose such anti-Hindu Dharma thoughts’ was the appeal made by M. G. C. Siddhalinga Shivacharya Mahaswamiji of Panchagrahgudda Hiremath from Nargund while addressing Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha (Sabha). The ‘Sabha’ was attended by more than 1600 devout Hindus. On 7th December, Sunday, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had held Dharmajagruti Sabha at Lingaraj Wad, Navalgund, in Karnataka. Others who attended the Sabha were Shri. Pramod Mutalik, Founder-President of Sriram Sena, Kum. Priyanka Swami of Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Guruprasad, the State Coordinator of HJS for Karnataka.

Shri. Mutalik said that Hindu Dharma and Hindus are under constant attack due to selfish politicians always appeasing minorities. We should awaken Kshatra-Tej within us and fight against all of them.

Highlights

1. Preparations for the Sabha were started only a week prior to the Sabha; still 1600 devout Hindus attended which was beyond estimated number. The Sabha was held on an open ground. Chairs were fully occupied and people had to stand to listen to the speakers. The area was so overcrowded that covering around the area was opened up. Few devout Hindus brought benches from the adjacent school and made arrangements for sitting. Finally, the ground was full and some were standing on the compound wall while some were sitting on the vehicles parked outside, to listen to the speakers.

2. Shri M.G.C. Siddhalinga Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, one of the speakers, commendedHJS activities. He said that he would attend all programs organized by HJS; may not be as a guest but as a loyal worker.

3. One dog was found at the venue of the Sabha from 3.00 p.m. on 6thDecember till 1.00 a.m. and then from 8.30 p.m. to 12.00 midnight; guarding the venue as if it was rendering seva. It kept pigs away from the venue. ‘Tilak’ was applied on its forehead and it seemed to have lot of enthusiasm.

Navalgund (Karnataka) : Police create obstacles in Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha

December 9, 2014

Have the police ever created such obstacles in programs organized by people of other faiths ?

Dharwad (Karnataka) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organized Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha on 7th December at Navalgund. The police stipulated conditions for holding the Sabha and asked HJS to give in writing that if Shri. Pramod Mutalik, the President of Sriram Sena made any provocative statements, HJS would be held responsible for the same.

 1. HJS members had gone to police station on 30th November to seek permission for holding this Sabha. Dy. Police Inspector Shankar Hullouti said to them that Navalgund was a sensitive part; why did HJS select this place for Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha ? He also instructed that the Sabha should be concluded before 6.00 p.m. No banners, posters, hoardings etc. should be displayed for this Sabha. After this, he sent the HJS members to Circle Police Inspector (PI).

 2. The Circle PI granted permission for the Sabha while warning them to see that no untoward incident took place. Initially, he said that propagation of the meeting should be done only on the day of the Sabha but when requested by HJS members, he granted permission for 3 days.

 3. On 6th December, the police called HJS members and told them that Shri. Pramod Mutalik should not be called for the Sabha as his speech may be provocative, which would lead to riots. If he came for the Sabha as a speaker, permission for the Sabha would be withdrawn. They also said that it was ok if he came as a guest; and did not talk. (Have the police ever imposed restrictions on fanatic leaders like Owaisi for making inflammatory speeches ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

 4. The HJS members tried to explain that Shri. Mutalik had never made any inflammatory statements in any of the HJS Dharmasabhas; but the PI refused to listen to them.
