Pujya Shirtode Maharaj to perform ritual to please Rain-God

Sangali (Maharashtra): "Everyone, including different organizations and the Government, is trying to get water. At the request of farmers and villagers of Kauthuli in Atapadi taluka, I shall be starting a ritual from 15 th November to please Rain-Gods." The above information was given by Pujya Shirtode Maharaj in a press conference held at City Library in Sangali. S/Shri. Arun Bhagvat, Lakshman Kadam, Jagannath Kadam, Tanaji Kadam, Amol Ghatage, Bandage Maharaj etc. attended the conference.

Shri. Arun Bhagavat said while introducing Pujya Maharaj that he had performed 3 such rituals inviting rains which were witnessed by the villagers. Maharaj performs such rituals only for welfare of people. Maharaj has agreed to the request of villagers of Kauthuli and the villagers have full faith in him. Pujya Shirtode Maharaj said, "I had a revelation in the year 1988. Thereafter, I started performing rituals inviting rains with the blessings of Dnyaneshwar Mauli. I only pray that the ritual should help mankind. The ritual would be like performance of ‘puja’ as prescribed in Hindu Dharma and its duration is 21 days. During the period of ritual, there will be rainfall within an area of 25-30 kms. It is solely dependent on the grace of Dnyaneshwar Mauli about how much would be the rainfall. I request that people look at this ritual as an experiment."
