It is necessary for every Hindu to devote time for activities related to the Nation and Dharma!: H.H. Kotnis Maharaj

Sangli: Hindus have forgotten their religion and are blindly following the western world. Thus, incidents of aggression and atrocities are on the rise. It is time for them to get armed with weapons as told by Lord Shri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. It is the need of the hour that every Hindu devotes at least a little time for activities related to the Nation and Religion, said H.H. Kotnis Maharaj. He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition titled ‘The Bitter Truth of Terrorism’ depicting the facts about Jihadi terrorists and Hindu genocide in Kashmir and Bangladesh organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in association with FACT (Foundation Against Continuing Terrorism). It was held on September 7th from 6.45 pm to 8.30 pm at Velankar Mangal Karyalaya near Ram Mandir. Prior to the exhibition, Shri. Madanlal Navandhar of Shri DurgaMata Temple Trust broke a coconut and the exhibition was made open to all at 11.15 am. At this time, Shri. Narayanrao Kadam, Founder of the Hindu Ekta Andolan Party performed the arti of Shri Krishna and Shri Ganesh. 

Dignitaries present at the inauguration ceremony such as Shri. Bapusaheb Pujari, Chairman of the Sangli Urban Bank; Shri. Sambhaji Pawar, Regional Vice-Chairman of the BJP; Prof. Vaijanath Mahajan and Shri. Rajaram Repal, HJS expressed their views. Other dignitaries present were Shri. Nitin Raje Shinde, Ex-MLA of Shivsena; Shri. Anil Patil-Savardekar, Corporator of Shivsena; Ms. Jyoti Aadate, Corporator of Shivsena; Shri. Prasad Riswade, Ex-City President of Shivsena; Shri. Suhas Joshi and Shri. Hari Patankar of VHP; Shri. Narayanrao Kadam, Founder of the Hindu Ekta Andolan Party; Shri. Praveen Kavathekar, Editor of ‘Lokajagar’; Adv. Balasaheb Deshpande, an ardent Hindu, Shri. Shashikant Mali, Chairman of Hirabaag Kala and Krida Mandal. Shri. Ashok Telang of the RSS and Shri. M.N. Kulkarni of the VHP also attended the exhibition. This exhibition was open to all free-of-charge from 8th to 10th September between 10 am to 9 pm.     

Highlights

  • During the exhibition, a video CD showing the plight of displaced Kashmiri Hindus titled ‘……and the world remained silent!’ was screened.
  • An exhibition of Sanatan’s holy texts was put up at the venue.
