“All over the world, conversions take place, through sword (force) or money. Hindus don’t have either sword or money. Despite this, Hindu organisations are undertaking the important work of reconverting those who had gone to other faiths,”- Uddhav Thackeray
MUMBAI : Shiv Sena on Monday said that there’s nothing wrong with reverse conversions and flayed “those who kept mum when Hindus were converted to Muslims.”
“Till yesterday, Hindus were converted to Muslims. Then, nobody said those were done forcibly or through enticement. But now when the Ganga has started flowing in reverse, the pseudo secularists are saying the conversions are not right,” an editorial in Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ said.
India is our Hindu rashtra, RSS chief says
“What do all these “secular” people have to say about forcible conversion of Hindus to Muslims during mogul rule and to Christians under British and Portuguese regimes,” Sena said.
“It looks like a big section of BJP favours conversions but they are in a quandary as their party has government in Centre and Maharashtra,” it said.
The Sena also supported UP Governor Ram Naik over his demand that Ram temple should be built at Ayodhya soon. “All over the world, conversions take place, through sword (force) or money. Hindus don’t have either sword or money. Despite this Hindu organisations are undertaking the important work of reconverting those who had gone to other faiths,” Sena said.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and VHP leader Pravin Togadia have welcomed such reconversion, it said.
“It should be taken into consideration if the Modi government could face problems due to this programme initiated by Hindu organisations on their own.” “We read somewhere that Modi has reprimanded some people, asking them to maintain restraint and speak carefully.” “So, there is doubt in everyone’s minds if the conversion movement now underway in name of Hindutva really has the government’s backing,” the Sena said.
