Theres No Alternative to Dharma: H.H. Sevananda Maharaj

Ramanathi (Ponda, Goa): Forthcoming period is most perilous; but Hindus are ignorant about the same. Every Hindu must know that there is no alternative to Dharma. Although this period is very difficult, Hindu Dharma would be re-established in the coming 25 years. The above prophecy was made by H.H. Sevananda Maharaj. He paid a visit to Sanatan’s ashram at Ramanathi, Goa along with His devotees. During His meeting with H.H. Dr. Jayant Athavale, Sanatan Sanstha, Maharaj said, "Hindus are responsible for this state of Dharma. But times are changing and people, at least 2-4 %, are turning towards Dharma. This will increase to 25% within a few years. Rest assured that there is going to be re-establishment of Dharma." He said that he would work towards spread of Hindu Dharma in outside countries from the year 2008-2009. Hindus living abroad are united and they will initiate steps for restoration of Dharma in India. They will pressurize Indians and only then, our condition will improve.

While criticizing politicians, he said, "Politicians go to people only before elections. I tell them that I shall vote only such person who would protect Hindu Dharma. Every Hindu should think like this. BJP and RSS have forgotten their past history of sacrifice. Present BJP leaders are erstwhile ‘Pracharak’ of RSS; even then they do not help Hindus."

When H.H. Sevananda Maharaj was being felicitated, he said that he would not accept anything till the health of H.H. Dr. Athavale does not improve. The day, He feels well, it will be festival like Dasara-Diwali. He presented an idol of Sree Ganapati, a ring and a shawl with name of Sree Rama to H.H. Dr. Athavale as Dharma-shield.
