Dubai: Maverick Indian painter and unabashed Madhuri admirer, M F Hussain has booked the entire Lamcy Cinema in Dubai Thursday, November 29, for the 2 pm show of Madhuri Dixit’s comeback film Aaja Nachle.
Hussain, who lives in Dubai and London because he faces arrest in India for having hurt the sentiments of Hindus by painting their gods and goddesses in the nude, is known to be a passionate, if platonic (He is 92-years-old!), admirer of 40-year-old Madhuri Dixit.
He intends to share his treat with special guests from all walks of life whom he will invite using cinema tickets that will bear his autographs and a sketch of Madhuri.
"I’ll also be exhibiting paintings of Madhuri in the foyer of the theatre. I have made these paintings based on her great hits," Hussain told the Khaleej Times.
"In fact, the paintings are a part of a series I have undertaken and will be exhibited sometime next year as my tribute to Bollywood, the biggest and greatest movie industry in the world."
Responding to the Hussain’s gesture Madhuri told the paper she was "overwhelmed by his gesture of booking a theatre for my comeback film. I feel very flattered indeed!"
