HJS Memorandum prevents denigration of Hindu deities in time

By Staff Reporter

Thane (Maharashtra): At Naupada from the Acharya Atre dais, on the evening of 28th November the ‘Scientific viewpoint’ section of the Maharashtra ANIS was to present a program. When the HJS learnt of this programme it presented a memorandum to the Naupada police station against the ANIS. The police swung into action immediately because of which Sau. Vandana Shinde the ANIS volunteer in Thane could not denigrate Hindu deities and saints in the course of her lecture. A number of elderly couples attended this programme. Sau. Shinde in her lecture said, “I am the daughter of a Varkari. In my childhood I have studied a number of holy texts.” Using the tune of the arti “Om Jai Jagdish Hare” she sang ‘Today let us all decide to destroy the useless superstition of casting off the evil eye. The germ of the holymen is decaying society, mortgaging its intellect’. The attendees applauded with claps. Further Sau. Shinde when questioned the existence of ghosts replied in the negative.

She also demonstrated how through various acts people are being cheated by so-called holy men. She lit a lamp with a water filled lamp, lifted a metal pot with a trident hidden in a mound of rice, laid down on a bed of nails and then stood up on it. Thereafter  proclaiming that black magic was being done on a woman she moved a coconut around her, then broke it and removed a long black cloth from it. Another lady volunteer of the ANIS from the audience said that she must have brought this coconut from home, so requested her to use another coconut. Sau. Shinde said she would accept this as a challenge and that if in the affected  individual some black magic was still persisting then she would remove it with this coconut. The act was repeated on the same so-called affected woman and the coconut broken and a very small black cloth piece less than half of the previous one emerged from it. Sau. Shinde then said that now she had succeeded in removing all the black magic done on the woman.

Using the quotes of great Hindu saints like Saint Eknath, Saint Tukaram, etc from Their literry works, stanzas from Prakrut verses (ovya) and the provocative quotes of national heroes she appealed to all to eradicate blind-faith.

Editor’s Note
We applaud the HJS for recognising the base plan of the ANIS to destroy the faith of people in the name of superstition/blind-faith and seeking timely police intervention. It is such staunch Hindu protagonist organisations alone who can be a threat to organisations like the ANIS. After receiving the memorandum from the HJS the police swung into action  immediately and served a notice on the ANIS. This is really praiseworthy. If only the police were to demonstrate such skill always  then it would certainly be a deterrent to anti-Hindus. Due to vehement protests by Hindu protagonists the programme ‘Scientific facts’ to be held in schools by the ANIS has now been banned by the Education Minister. As a result of not being able to influence students they are now helpless and have resorted to holding anti-faith classes for the elderly. The holy procession (dindi) of the Varkaris to Pandharpur which is 700 years old has been referred to by the anti-faith bill as a “fabrication”. Did Sau. Shinde oppose this? It shows how she too has accepted what the ANIS has said, blindly. The arti indicates that the ANIS has lost its mental balance. Those denigrating devotional songs and those applauding the one denigrating them are both anti-Hindus. ANIS without studying the phenomenon of black magic dares to gives demonstrations on it thus misguiding the public. How did this demonstration of removing something from a coconut prove some scientific fact? And how did it prove that black magic is a superstition? What right does the ANIS have to make use of references from literature by saints  which is divine, when they themselves have no faith in the very existence of God and try to denigrate Him at all times?
