Due to the severe opposition from Hindus, Asia House stopped the auction of paintings by anti-Hindu painter M F Hussain. In this context, information about 'Hitachi Europe Ltd.', a Company manufacturing electronics goods will be assisting the auction was received by staunch Hindus. They therefore, wrote to the company for not assisting auction of Hussain's work. The company took a note of the letter and Mr. Jerry Corbett, the Vice President has sent a reply to a staunch Hindu that the company is in no way associated with the auction organized by Asia House. A staunch Hindu lady named Yashwini had written to 'Hitachi Europe Ltd.'. She sent a copy of the letter received from Mr. Jerry Corbett to the Hindu Jan-jagruti Samiti. It has been mentioned in the said letter that Hitachi is in no way associated with the auction held by Asian Art Gallery and the company has not sponsored the auction. The company is not responsible for any program organized by the Art Gallery. She had conveyed to the management of the company by email that like Muslims all over the world held violent demonstrations against the cartoons of Prophet Mohammad, even the Hindus could have done so but Hindus are tolerant and are fighting the issue in a peaceful manner.
