Ichalkaranji (Maharashtra): Due to internal conflicts between Christians the church in the Thorat Chowki was kept closed on Christmas day.Two groups of Christians were divided over the issue of prayer. The Hegde group came to pray outside the church yesterday. The other Bhandare group had already locked the church doors. So after prayers the Hegde group put another lock on the doors. Due to clashes between the two groups there were police posted in the vicinity of the church throughout the day. The warring groups are prepared for a legal battle now.
