HJS participates in ‘Youth for Equality’ Meet

People all over the country are rising in revolt against the Government’s policy to reserve 50% of seats on the basis of caste in all the central educational institutions. To create awareness among masses, a public meeting was held by the organization called ‘Youth for Equality’ at Goregaon Sports Club, Malad. After reading an article on ‘Reservation Policy’ in �Sanatan Prabhat�, the monthly periodical in English, Dr. Badave, one of the readers invited HJS to participate in the said meeting. Accordingly, Dr. Uday Dhuri, the Convener of HJS, Mumbai district addressed the meeting and guided people on various points like how the reservation policy is against the Hindu culture, what would be its effects and what needs to be done in this context. Later, eminent personalities like Shri Mujaffar Hussain, Dr. Shyam Agrawal, Dr. Gunjan Sharma, Dr. Lalit Kapur, Shri Atul Shah, film producer Shri Ashok Pandit also put forth their views and guided people on what should be further course of agitation against reservation.
Shri Ashok Pandit told Dr. Dhuri that he would be available at any time for the activities of HJS and for anti-reservation programs. Dr. Gunjan Sharma, a founder member of the organization �Youth for Equality� stated that the agitation against reservation will be carried on even more rigorously and demanded that the Central Government should declare how and in what way the reservation policy implemented in the past 60 years, has helped in the development of this nation. The participants took out a protest march carrying placards and lit candles. The meeting was attended by a large no. of doctors, medical students and their parents from Goregaon to Dahisar area. Every participant displayed a black band as a mark of protest.
