The Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) has come out with a demand to declare Himachal Pardesh a Hindu state.
The organisation, which ended its two day conference at Solan, resolved to put pressure on the state government during the next assembly session to declare Himachal Pradesh as Hindu state.
The state has 95 percent Hindu population, said a resolution adopted at the meeting.
Karuna Prakash, Regional Secretary of the VHP said, “Alarmed by increasing cases of Love-Jihad and conversions, the VHP will hold a Vishal Hindu sammelan at Shimla on May 9 to discuss major issues involving Hindus”.
Top leaders of the VHP including Dr Praveen Togaria, beside Sadhvi Ritambhra will be attending the sammelan.
