Mumbai (Maharashtra): There was an instant demand by devout Hindus in the review meeting as a follow-up of ‘Dharma-jagruti’ sabha earlier held in Dahisar. About 70 devout Hindus attended the meeting. They felt that Hindus, like people following other religions, should first know about their Dharma and science behind different religious rituals performed by them so that an awareness is created among them and they would be inspired to fight for protection of Dharma and there was a demand that Hindu Janajagruti Samiti should, therefore, immediately start ‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes.
The meeting held in a very vibrant and lively atmosphere at Sree Datta Temple, Bhaktidnyanmarga Sadhan Sanstha in Dahisar (East) was convened by HJS as a follow up of the ‘Dharma-sabha’ held in earlier week. Many Hindus expressed their views emphasizing the need for Hindu unity. The meeting was attended by Shri. Phatak Guruji, Shri. Vishnu Dalvi, Shri. Ketan Bansali, Shri. Vijay Salvi, Shri. Shyam Soman, Shri. Sohanlal Chaudhary, Shri. Omprakash Shukla, Shri. Rajendra Joshi, Shri. Lakshmikant Samant, Shri. Vishal Patil, Shri. Jagannath Sawant, Shri. Pramod Gawas, Shri. Prabhakar Sawant, Shri. Suresh Sawant, the Coordinator of HJS for Western Zone and many seekers of Sanatan Sanstha along with many other devout Hindus.
Shri. Sadanand Panchal, the Convener of HJS for Western Zone addressed the gathering giving an outline of HJS, object of foundation of the organization, its activities and various campaigns undertaken by it. Later, a VCD titled ‘Present condition of Hindus’ was shown. Further course of action to be taken by HJS was explained and another VCD ‘… and the world remained silent’ was also shown during the meeting. Shri. Suresh Sawant, the Western Zone Coordinator of the meeting explained in detail about the preparations that had to be made prior to the Dharma-sabha.
Shri. Sohanlal Chaudhary, an elderly devout Hindu recited a poem penned by him in a very resplendent manner which helped participants in awakening reverence towards Dharma. After the meeting, many devout Hindus demanded that HJS should start ‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes as Hindus have no knowledge about their Dharma, Sanskrit language, scriptures or rituals. There was also a demand to start classes to teach Hindi language. It was decided to conduct classes on every Saturday at 7.00 p.m. at the same venue, i.e. Sree Datta Temple. Participants showed their willingness to extend financial help for such activites and some of them subscribed to Sanatan periodicals.
