HJS demonstrations before Pune district collector

Pune (Maharashtra): Bowing before the pressure brought in by workers of Republican Party of India (RPI), the editor of ‘Weekly Sanatan Prabhat’ was arrested and granted 1 day’s police custody. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) staged demonstrations in front of the office of the District Collector protesting against the arrest. The demonstrators raised slogans condemning the Government for assault on the fourth pillar of democracy and attack on freedom of expression of the newspapers.
       
A representation was submitted on the occasion which was accepted by Shri. Chintamani Joshi, the Dy. District Collector. Various organizations like Matoshree Pratishthan, Shree Asaram Bapu Sampradaya, Lal Mahal Utsav Samiti, Devadasi Sanghatana, Pune Bar Association, Shiva-tej Pratishthan, Patanjaliyoga Samiti, Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj Smruti Pratishtan, RSS, Swa. Neetanayak Pratishthan, Sanatan Sanstha and HJS participated in the demonstrations.
         
Even at places like Ghodegaon, Bhor, Junner and Talegaon, members of HJS and devout Hindus submitted representations to the Tehsildar signed by members of Hindu organizations, readers and well wishers of Sanatan.
