‘Matru-Pitru Din’ celebrated by ‘Bharatiya Yuva Shakti’ and ‘Yuva Hitakarini’ promoted by Yoga Vedanta Samiti of H. H. Asaramji Bapu
Mumbai : We have been insisting for indigenous things since pre-independence days, then why do we need to follow western tradition started by so-called foreign Saint ? Instead, we should celebrate ‘Matru-Pitru Din’ started by H. H. Asaramji Bapu. ‘Valentine Day’ has now become ‘Lust Day’; therefore, sale of contraceptives increases by 25% on that day. This information has been given by office bearers of a medical organization but why this fact is never shown by the media ?
There is only one calendar i.e. ‘Sanatan Panchang’ which shows 14th February as ‘Matru-Pitru Pujan Din’. H. H. Asaramji Bapu has made a resolve for ‘Matru-Pitru Din’. If this country is declared as a Hindu Rashtra, there will be no need to tell people about celebrating ‘Matru-Pitru Din’; so, strive hard to make India, a Hindu Rashtra, appealed Shri. Ramesh Shinde, all-India spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during program held on the occasion of ‘Matru-Pitru Din’ by ‘Bharatiya Yuva Shakti’ and ‘Yuva Hitakarini Manch’ promoted by ‘Yoga Vedanta Samiti’ of H. H. Asaramji Bapu.
The program was held with great enthusiasm on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ground, Nehrunagar in Kurla. Every year, ‘Matru-Pitru Din’ is celebrated on 14th February, instead of ‘Valentine Day’ as per the resolve made by H. H. Asaramji Bapu. It was the second year of celebration of ‘Matru-Pitru Din’ at Kurla. ‘Mahamandaleshwar’ Shri. Sunil Shastriji, Shri. Ghanashyamanandji of ‘Bharat Jagruti Manch’, Sadhvi Taruna Behan, Sadhvi Krushna Behan etc. were present on the occasion; whereas Shri. Suresh Chavanke, the President and Editor of ‘Sudarshan’ channel took part through skype from Shirdi. Puja was performed of more than 1100 mothers and fathers on the occasion. The program was attended by about 5000 devotees.
Highlights
1. This program was directly telecast through ‘Mangal vaahini’ in 121 countries.
2. Gratitude was expressed towards H. H. Dr. Jayant Athavale, the ‘Paratpar Guru’ and founder of Sanatan Sanstha for his support right from the day one of H. H. Bapu’s detention.
3. Hindu Vidhidnya Parishada (HVP) had extended legal aid for H. H. Bapu and he is being served home-made food and medicines now; therefore, HVP was commended.
4. Children from ‘Bal-sanskar’ classes presented a short play depicting importance of parents in life, based on the life history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
5. Shri. Suresh Chavanke celebrated ‘Matru- Pitru Din’ at Shirdi by worshiping his parents.
