The Editor,
Goan Observer,

Panaji Goa.

Subject: Response to your article Saffron Agenda (Stray Thoughts) in your issue February 2- 8, 2008

Sir,

This is in response to your article Saffron Agenda (Stray Thoughts) page 9. in your issue February 2- 8, 2008 wherein you have given wrong information and made some false allegations and remarks about the Hindu Janajagruti Sabha which are as follows.

 1. The ‘ Hindu Jan jagruti Sabha was organized by the rabid Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).

This is utterly false as the Sabha was organized by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and not by Vishwa Hindu Parishad. There was no speaker of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad on the stage. So also the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is an independent organisation with  no affiliations to the VHP, Bajrang Dal or the RSS.The guise of stray thoughts should no be used for expressing malice towards Hindus and the Hindu Dharma.

2.The diabolical objective of the sabha was to target the minority Christian and Muslim communities and spread the virus of communal poison in Goa.

Goa has faced tyranny of Christian rule for 450 yrs, and to speak about it in Goa within 50 years of independence becomes rabid propaganda or spreading communal poison, and  labeling  Christianity as aggressive religions etc, then this by itself shows how the author treats Hindus and what importance he gives to freedom of speech or any attempt made to oppose the actual aggression of most severe nature faced by Hindus. The threat of Jihadi terrorist is largely also looming on Goa with the latest statement made by the Chief Minister of Goa reassuring the people of Goa. Police have unearthed a terrorist training camp near Dharwad and investigations have revealed network of anti national activities. Castlerock was their meeting place.  The arrest of terrorist Batloo is well known.Whole world is discussing Islamic Terrorism. In such a situation creating awareness in the society about the Jihadi terrorism is the need of the hour and the organisations causing this awareness are labeled as communal, rabid etc. The atrocities of Hindu Pandits in Kashmir are the worst that Hindus have had to face.

This article reflects the author’s malice towards Hindus (Saffron) to an extent that at the instance of some third party information the author has published matter against the Hindus and the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti without proper confirmation of facts.

Your next issue dated February 9-15, 2008 does not contain any news or coverage about the Sabha of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti thus keeping the confusion going in the minds of the readers about speculations and allegations made about the Samiti in your previous issue. It would have been fair if either the reporter himself or any of your weekly reporter had attended the sabha to inform your readers about what actually happened in sabha.

This further strengthens the fact about the author’s malice towards Hindus and biased reporting against Hindus without taking proper care to confirm the facts.

    We eagerly await your response.

Dr.Manoj Solanki,

Spokesperson,

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
