Satara (Maharashtra) : Cow-slaughter should be banned all over India including Maharashtra. ‘Gou-Premis (patrons of cows)’ and Hindutva-vadis from this State were striving hard for getting this Act passed, and now it has been finally passed with President’s signature.
The responsibility of protection of cows that was being shouldered by ‘Gou-premis’ and Hindutva-vadis will have to be taken up by the State Government in future. Passing of Act banning cow/ cattle-slaughter in Maharashtra can be taken as a true beginning of establishment of Hindu Rashtra, stated advocate Govind Gandhi, the Regional Vice President of Hindu Mahasabha for Maharashtra. He was speaking in a program held by Hindutva-vadi organizations from Satara at Shiva-teertha (Powai Naka) for distribution of sugar.
The program was attended by advocate Shri. Datta Sanas, City-President of Hindu Mahasabha, Shri. Umesh Gandhi its managing committee member, advocate Shri.
