Goa : Disgraceful denigration of Hindu Deities through a Konkani play

Phalgun Krushna paksha 1, Kaliyug Varsh 5116

Will those denigrating Hindu Deities in the name of individual freedom, dare to criticize followers of other religions ?

denigration_hindu_deitiesMargao (Goa) : Disgraceful denigration of Hindu Deities through a Konkani play of very low standard, titled ‘Avayas Khatakhatyatalo Chano’ staged at Pimplekatta, Margao on 3rd March 2015 took place.

In this cheap play, there was disgraceful denigration of Shriram, Seeta, Lakshman and Shri. Hanuman. The denigration has led to fury amongst religious Hindus. Show of this play was earlier staged on 6th January 2015 at Dando, Margao in Shri Matangi Renuka Mandir when Hindus had opposed to this play; even then, show was staged on 3rd March. The organizers have claimed to have staged 25 shows of this play so far. (Hindus are tolerant; therefore, anti-Hindus dare to denigrate Hindus’ Deities time and again. Hindus should oppose to this play in lawful manner ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

The story of the play is – few persons try to stage a play in the historical background of Ramayana. There are, however, very vulgar dialogues given to the characters of Shriram, Seeta, Lakshman and Hanumant. The person playing the character of Bhagavan Shriram is shown as lame and stammering; one who enacts role of Lakshman is shown as eunuch and one who plays the role of Maruti is shown as a Christian. Mata Seeta has been constantly insulted. (It shows the level of producers, director and actors of this play. Viewers going to watch this play are likely to be of similar level. Now, people should take them to task. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
