Phalgun Krushna paksha Dwitiya, Kaliyug Varsh 5116

All Hindus need to learn from Warkaris who have been constantly making demands, in lawful manner, for protection of Hindu Dharma !

Mumbai : Recently, coalition Government in Maharashtra got the Act passed on banning cow-slaughter. Warkaris had been fighting for implementation of this Act for many years and they had taken out protest marches to Assembly House at Mumbai and Nagpur during Congress regime, undertaken agitations by getting arrested and tried to ban the then chief Minister and Dy. Chief Minister from performing ‘puja’ of Shri. Vitthal at Pandharpur etc.

This fight undertaken by Warkaris has borne fruits after 19 years; so for that, we first congratulate the coalition Government !

H.B.P. Rameshwar Maharaj Shastri, the Founder-President of ‘Shri Warkari Prabodhan Mahasamiti’, Vice-President of Maharashtra Rajya Warkari Mahamandal’ and ‘Mahamantri’ of ‘Akhil Bharatiya Sant-Samiti’ has now made a demand on behalf of all Warkaris that after passing of Act banning cow-slaughter, Maharashtra Government should now set up a special Department for conservation of cows with a knowledgeable person in this field as ‘Gou-samvardhan’ Minister.

It has been stated in a letter sent to the Government that ….

1. There are many organizations and ‘Gou-premis (cow-patrons)’ in the State who look after cows. The Government should extend all necessary help to them.

2. Extend financial aid to those nurturing cows.

3. Land available under Forest Department may be given for ‘Gou-shalas’.

4. Organize camps all over the State for conservation of cows.
