Now Goa Hindus want act banning cow-slaughter in the state

Phalgun Krushna paksha 2, Kaliyug Varsh 5116

Why such demand has to be made in Goa where BJP’s Government is in power ?
Why policies of BJP Government are not same in all States ruled by the party ?

Shri. Hanumant Parab, President, ‘Gou-vansha Raksha Abhiyan’

Panaji (Goa) : It is very good that Maharashtra Government passed Act banning cow-slaughter all over the State taking note of constant agitations staged by Warkari sect, ‘Gou-rakshaks’ and Hindu organizations etc. It is, however, possible that owing to Act banning cow-slaughter in Maharashtra, slaughtering of cows may increase on large scale in Goa.

It is, therefore, necessary that even in the Land of Gods, i.e. Goa, cow/cattle slaughtering should be totally stopped and Goa Government should pass similar Act even in Goa. The above views were expressed by Shri. Hanumant Parab, the President of ‘Govansh Raksha Abhiyan (GRA)’.

Shri. Hanuant Parab said, “People’s movement is staged in Goa for banning cow-slaughter in the State. The Government needs to take cognizance of these agitations and pass necessary Act in this context. A representation was submitted by GRA to the State Government of Goa in the year 2012. During a rally held at Azad Maidan in the presence of Acharya Dharmendraji, a resolution was passed by ‘Gou- premis’ that an Act should be passed banning cow/cattle –slaughter all over the State. They are still fighting for this cause. Goa Government can learn a lesson from Maharashtra Government and pass similar Act banning slaughter of cow/ cattle so as to create happy and divine, pure atmosphere.”

Act should be implemented meticulously ! – Shri. Kamalesh Bandekar, Bharat Swabhiman, Goa In-charge

We welcome passing of Act banning slaughter of cows/cattle in Maharashtra. This Act should be meticulously followed by that Government, opined Shri. Kamalesh Bandekar, In-charge of Bharat Swabhiman for Goa. Shri. Bandekar said, “The fight for protection of cows by ‘Gou-rakshaks’ has achieved success now. This has given new vigor to Gou-rakshaks from Goa and like Maharashtra, it is expected that even in Goa, Act would be passed imposing total ban on cow/cattle slaughter; else, the Government would have to face displeasure of ‘Gou-premi’ citizens.”
