Britannia removes deities’ pictures from its compound wall!

Mumbai: ‘Britannia Industries Ltd.’ located at Reay Road, had drawn pictures of deities on their compound wall to prevent people from dirtying this wall. The pictures were drawn in such manner that it was covering 2 feet of the wall. Shri. Ganesh Tambe, a seeker of Sanatan Sanstha met company administration and explained to them about denigration of deities due to such drawings on the wall and it was hurting sentiments of Hindus. He requested the management to rub out the drawings. The company then painted the compound wall with different colour so that the pictures were not seen.

Since the year 1994, the company had got the compound wall painted with pictures of deities to avoid people from dirtying the wall. Objects of worship from all religions were initially drawn on the wall but somebody had tried to rub out the pictures of Jesus Christ, mosque, madarassa and Gautam Buddha by painting other colour over them and pictures of Hindu deities were as it is. (Followers of other religions are so careful about these things and do not let anyone denigrate their objects of worship except Hindus who are indifferent towards their Dharma. Hindus are, therefore, needed to be educated in matters related to Dharma to awaken their love for Dharma – Editor)

The company is presently closed down. People throw garbage near the wall; some even pee on it and there is lot of filth below these pictures.Shri. Ganesh Tambe of Sanatan Sanstha, therefore, met Shri. Suhas Ajinkya, zonal officer of the company and gave a representation to him.
