Mumbai (Maharashtra): The Daily Sakal published from here has started a supplement based on politics titled ‘Sinhasan’ from March 25. It has indulged in a gross denigration of the most worshipped deity of Hindus, Sree Krushna, in the column ‘Batavani’. (Had the paper shown the courage to do such denigration in respect of objects of faith of other religions? It could do so because the Hindus are not united. Hindus should come together to change this situation for good! – Editor) The ridicule is done through the conversation of Sree Krushna and Pendya, His childhood friend. The author has taken a nickname as ‘Songadya’. The supplement was published in various towns in Maharashtra.
When the matter was taken up with the Sakal’s Sangli office, it was told that as the article and the supplement were prepared in Mumbai, the protests should be registered there only.
The text hurting the religious feelings of Hindus
Pendya: The Patil has cancelled the octroi. So he has sent you these ‘Pedhas’ (sweets) to tease you because you are the ‘pioneer’ of octroi.
Krushna: We were not seeking payment of octroi in the market of Mathura….
Pendya: Was it then a ‘Hafta’ or extortion money? You boast yourself to be the first politician of the world! You have run love alliance govt. with Radha and Meera. You remained as an independent candidate for Kaurav and Pandava and lent the Pandavas support from outside and thus ruined the Kauravas. You made Karna a Datta Meghe. You gave a house to your friend, Sudama and who can outsmart you in your women policy?
Krushna: Pendya, I have also sided with the just cause. I befriended many people. I have not considered any field as a prohibited one.
Pendya: This is ditto Sharad Pawar! He also has a Mahanor at one side and Sachin Tendulkar on the other. But there is only one difference between you and him.
Krushna: What is it?
Pendya: Your Gita was simplified by Dnyaneshwar, Vinoba Bhave etc. Their commentary was as good as a public edition, almost a paper bank. But what Sharadrao says, no one in Maharashtra can draw exact meaning of it!
The Daily Sakal has indulged in such denigration because the Hindus are not united. The Hindus should not waste time and should lodge a strong protest with the paper at the following address:
