Panjim (Goa) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has demanded to the Chief Minister of Goa to ban the the Konkani Movie ‘MMS’ which degrades morality and Indian culture and also shows Goan youth in bad light. HJS has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Goa on 24th March in this regards. HJS has also made this demand to the Central Board of Film Certification through a memorandum. The Konkani Movie ‘MMS’ is scheduled to be released on 10th April.
Memorandum says that in the trailer it appears that the under-age girl and boy, exchange kisses and even indulge in a sexual act which gets recorded and circulated. This then leads to the suicide of the young girl. The message going out to the young generation is dangerous. First it shows that they have the right to get into a physical act and then because of the repercussions they commit suicide. This is a serious degradation of morality and of Indian culture. The message going out to the young generation of Goa is that a young girl is an object of sexual gratification, it is easy for college boys & girls below the age of marriage to indulge in sexual activities. This is completely against our Indian value & family system and promotes the Western culture of life, where sex amongst youngsters is acceptable.
Already Goa has become infamous for Wine, Women ,Drugs and Casinos and this movie further re enforces this false image of Goa.
