HJS takes part in Hanuman Jayanti celebrations in Eroor, Ernakulam

Eroor (Kerala) : On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti a program was organised by a youth group at Eroor, Ernakulam. After beginning the program with bhajans, a discourse on the importance of Hindu Dharma and Dharmacharan was conducted by Kum. Praneeta Sukhtankar of Hindu Janajgruti Samiti. About 40 people attended the program.

Speaking on the occasion, Kum. Praneeta said that the state of affairs of Hindu Dharma is very bad and the main reason behind it is that Hindus lack education in Hindu Dharma. She gave few examples of how one can follow Dharma daily (Dharmacharan) and also told the scientific reasons behind the same. The importance of Hanuman Jayanti was also explained on the occasion. She said that the easiest way of progressing spiritually is by chanting and thereby she explained the importance and benefits of chanting the Name of one’;s Family Deity (Kuladevata) and that of Deity Datta.

At the end of the program the organisers requested the Samiti’s voluteers to perform aarti of Shri Hanuman.

Highlights

1. Many people visited the stall put up by HJS.

2. One of the organisers said that they will try to arrange another program in the near future.

3. This was the first time that HJS volunteers experienced that the organisers were ready to perform aarti. Also, they did the preparations for aarti according to the Shastras.

4. A person who had visited the program, told the activists to mention about the Holy texts and other satvik products displayed in the stall, so that people will come to know about it.

5. The youngsters who had organised the program, enthusiastically put in efforts.

6. An exhibition of flex posters on dharmacharan and how to take darshan in temple, were also displayed at the venue and the organisers helped in arranging it.
