Gold plate temple at Vemulawada
Vemulawada Shri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple in Karimnagar district is one of the famous Shivaite temples in Telangana. It was built in 14th Century. Earlier, the Devasthanam of the temple planned to make gold plating for the Gopuram and approached Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to undertake the project. Due to various reasons the project was not at all started. TTD has also returned the amount along with interest to the Devasthanam long back. The temple authorities and the Endowments Department should take it up as a joint project for gold plating the temple Gopuram as early as possible.
