National US Interfaith Org. elects Zed as its Spiritual Adviser

The National Association of Interchurch and Interfaith Families has named acclaimed Hindu and Indo-American leader Rajan Zed as one of its spiritual advisors.The purpose of this Association is to educate couples and families who are in "mixed" relationships, enabling all to grow in understanding and live in harmony. "Through accepting and understanding our differences we will discover our similarities," its website says.

Based out of Midway City in California, it has a center in Stagecoach in Nevada. Reverend Michael and Barbara Slater are co-chairs of this Association.

Rajan Zed is a prominent Hindu and Indo-American leader, Hinduism teacher, and chaplain who read the groundbreaking first Hindu prayers in United States Senate in Washington DC and various state legislatures. He is very active in interfaith dialog in the region. He is one of the panelists for "On Faith", a prestigious interactive conversation on religion produced jointly by Newsweek and washingtonpost.com, and writes for it. He has been awarded by various organizations.
