Declare Sanskrit as National Language

Kozhikode (Kerala): ‘Viswa Samskritha Prathishtan’ state meet started here at Ramkrishna Mission Highschool. Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan Chairman Dr. K.
Madhavankkutty, inaugurated the meet . 

Sanskrit should be declared as the National Language, Madhavankutty demanded in his inaugural speech. When Hindi and Sanskrit got equal vote in Parliament, Nehru made Hindi as national language through casting vote. 

Sanskrit is the oldest and the most systematic language in the world. The vastness and the versatility, and power of expression can be appreciated by the fact that this language has 65 words to describe various forms of earth, 67 words for water, and over 250 words to describe rainfall. 

Appreciating this sanskrit is now being taught in 33 universities across the world as computer language, told Madhavankutty. Unfortunately in India, No much encouragement is given to learn sanskrit . 

Viswa Samskritha Prathishtan General Secretary V. J. Srikumar ,Suseela Vijayaraghavan, V. S. Ramachandran and many other Sanskrit scholars were present.
