Beltangady : Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, has announced a donation of Rs 1 crore to the Nepal earthquake relief purposes.
It will sent in the form of rice and medicines. Rice of about Rs 50 lakh will be sent to various rehabiltation centres where the victims have been house, to be distributed on a proportionate basis. About Rs 50 lakh will be provided to various mobile surgical units.
Getting new mobile surgical units would be difficult as short notice. Hence those currently operating would be drafted on a lease basis, said the announcement.
